Series Overview:
This is a monthly series on the Lacanian Clinical approach with implications for treatment that will be offered the third Thursday of every month from 12:00 - 1:00 pm for inpatient, partial and outpatient mental health therapists, psychiatry residents and doctors. Content will be presented by Thomas Svolos and Pam Jespersen.
Objectives: At the end of the presentation, learners will be able to:
Identify how to listen carefully to the spoken words in sessions and be able to demonstrate how to use language in the direction of the treatment
Demonstrate an understanding of what Lacan calls the Subject and the place of language in this division.
Discuss the Lacanian perspective on diagnosis and implications for how the clinician should orient himself or herself in the transference and treatment.

December 18: What is a Diagnosis?
